Letecké opravovne Trenčín, a.s. (LOTN) won in 2016 an international tender for the repair of the aircraft L – 410 UVP, which belongs to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania.
The aircraft arrived in the first half of February 2017 by a direct arrival from Lithuania to the LOTN Airport in Trenčín. This flight is also referred to as a technical flight. The deadline for completion of work on the aircraft and its handover was set by the contract at 30.11.2017. LOTN carried out as part of an authorized revision of the fuselage, systems, technical units and equipment of the aircraft, modernization of avionics systems, overhaul of two aircraft engines and overhaul of two propellers.
The aircraft underwent all technical tests, which were performed by aviation specialists and also passed the test flight.
The successful conclusion of the contract took place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the form of the signing of acceptance protocols between the representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania and LOTN. The following plane flew to the base in Lithuanian Šiaulai.
Good management and completion of the entire L – 410 aircraft repair project is the first step towards further cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania and LOTN.
